The function of soustenuto pedal is maintaining keyboard sound pressed when pressing the pedal or stop short of keyboard played after pressing the pedal.

For digital piano, hammer sound may become louder if headphone is connected or volume is reduced. This also happens in acoustic piano but not so noticeable due to the loud sound.

If you press start button it may cause short in component part as power comes on. It may worsen the damage.

Also, as fine components are connected like a circuit inside the inner board it easily becomes rust by water.
